Catherine Fisher has become one of my favorite authors. Mostly because she tends to focus on the story and the characters as individuals. I loved her books Incarceron and Sapphique so I thought I should give her other books a try. I did and I loved it as well.
This one is a fairly short story about a girl, Sarah, selling her soul to an all-powerful being and... that's all I am going to say about it. Like I said, it's pretty short. In fact, even though I really enjoyed this book, I feel like it was too short to get a full grasp of the story. However, the character interactions and the overall plot was really fun to watch. I really liked the relationship between Sarah and Azrael. I thought it was nicely developed and very cute~ <3
All in all, I think it is a fun, fast-paced read that you can get through in one sitting. If you are looking for something quick to read that has great character interactions, I recommend you read this book. Just don't expect it to be filled to the brim with a lot of story elements. It does kind of end abruptly, which is unfortunate. Oh well...
I still recommend it! XD
