October Mourning: A Song for Matthew Shepard by Lesléa Newman
I won't say much about this book because it's fairly short and I feel it's one of those books you should read for yourself. Basically, it's a collection of poems Lesléa Newman wrote for Matthew Shepard, a boy who was beaten, robbed, and tied to a fence for being homosexual. A lot of the poems are really well-written and so heart-wrenching. I think you can learn a lot about Matthew Shepard and the impact he made in this world through this book. I highly recommend reading it.
