The Eyes of the Unicorn by Teresa Bateman
Wow. Just... wow. I cannot even begin to tell you how much this picture book blew me away. It's GORGEOUS! Absolutely stunning! Not just the art, although the art is breathtaking in and of itself. But the story. The beautiful language. The poetry of the book is phenomenal! Teresa Bateman did an excellent job in writing this picture book, just as Greg Spalenka did an excellent job in illustrating this book. I cannot image what this book would be like if these two talented people didn't collaborate on it.
Seeing as how this is a picture book, I don't want to say anything about it since it's only 32 pages. However, I will say it is one of the best picture books I have ever read. Please, read it. It doesn't matter if you don't have a child in your life to read it to. Just read it for yourself because it is fantastic!
