Learning American Sign Language: Levels I & II--Beginning & Intermediate by Tom Humphries
It's been a very long time since I've had this book on my reading shelf. Years. I just never got around to talking about it. I really liked learning from this textbook. I learned quite a few signs that I didn't know prior to using this book. A downside to this book, however, is how some of the signs aren't clear as to the motions one must take in order to sign correctly. If you buy this book without the CD, you will be quite lost. Other than that, I think this is a great book to learn from.
Give this book a shot if you are interested in learning ASL. Just remember to buy it with the CD or you might not understand what the picture is depicting.
