Rebel Angels - Libba Bray Amazing! Simply amazing! This book, the second in the Gemma Doyle Trilogy, is definitely better than the first. I love this book so much! I can't even begin to tell you how much. The plot, the characters, the twists... all of it! It was ALL good!

There are so many things about this book that happened that shocked me! Seriously, of course I can't say them because it will be spoilers but man! I don't know if it's because I am slow but I did not see HALF the things that Bray wrote in this novel. I also love how dark it was compared to the first novel. It felt more real and the descriptions of the Realms was just amazing. Libba Bray knows how to write a novel. Her writing style is so great that I can't help being sucked into the fantasy world that she has created.

The characters are a BIG improvement since A Great and Terrible Beauty. In the first novel, they were whiny brats. In this one, you see how the girls have grown. They have their moments of reverting back into their bratty selves but in those few moments, it's legit. Also, the introduction of the new characters and the roles they play was genius! I can't get enough of them. Especially the gorgon and Asha. They are my most favorites in the book.

Seriously, this novel was everything I was NOT expecting and more! It's a good thing! I hate it when something is so predictable. This novel had nothing of the sort happening. I love this book. The Gemma Doyle series is one of my favorite series and I haven't even read the last book yet. If it continues going the same way as it did in this to the other one, then I will have to go out and buy my own copies right away because this is truly a fantastic series!
