Feathers by Jacqueline Woodson

Feathers - Jacqueline Woodson

I am definitely in love with Woodson's works. I've read a few now and they are always so engaging and beautiful. Her writing style is fantastic and easy to follow. Her stories, though heart-wrenching at times, always leave you with a sense of hope and wonder. I love her books and the characters she creates. Frannie, the main character of Feathers, wasn't as likable as some of her other characters but I think that just adds to the realistic factor Woodson was trying to bring home in this book.

If you love stories about how far we've come as people, if you love stories about hope, then this is the perfect book for you. And with yesterday being Easter, I think this is the perfect book to read around this time. :)
